Here's our new feed wagon. It was designed and built by Samuel and Jacob, our young Amish geniuses. It still needs a couple design tweaks but the I'm real happy with version 1.0. A little too much feed is getting spilled, but that will be fixed soon.
We plan to add one of these feed wagons (or feedmobiles) per 1,000 hens. This will save so much chore time. Currently, we haul feed to 10,000 birds twice a day.
Samuel and Jacob built the feed wagon on a running gear we got at auction for about $150.
